The Center for Student Advising (CSA) provides an integrated advising experience for all students in Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. CSA brings together, under one roof, general academic advising, Academic Success Programs, the Undergraduate Scholars Program, and the Office of Preprofessional Advising. Students are assigned a CSA advisor, who works with them throughout their time at Columbia. Advisors are the primary source of advising – they help plan academic programs each semester, answer questions about degree and Core requirements (for CC), first-year/sophomore and nontechnical requirements (for SEAS), and help address any other questions or concerns. CSA advisors work collaboratively with faculty and other campus offices and resources to help engender student success.
